Just rambling through the forest of life.

We took the best bits of our forbidden friendship and forged something beautiful.

The days of running through golden cornfields, of making daisy chains by the babbling brook.

We were told it would never last, our lives were destined elsewhere.

But still we carried on,  falling so in love, when we kissed, we each could see heaven in the others eyes.

Being in your arms was like being in paradise, I never wanted to move.

You loved it when I whispered sweet things in your ear, you said you tingle with excitement.

Remember that night, that sweet night we sealed our friendship in your sweet bed?

Well my dear sweet heart, my dear love of my life, we loved, we grew up together, we grew old together, but we grew apart.

I remember that stormy night, that night you were taken from me, as I held your hand.

Sitting by your bedside, you said you loved me, I loved you back.

They were right, our lives were destined elsewhere, you were destined to leave this world.

I was destined to carry the torch of our love on until we met again.

The memories of that year will keep me warm for a lifetime
