Just rambling through the forest of life.

On Sunday our 5-year-old lad, decided to feed his DS game cartridge into the PS3 console, because “he wanted to play”.

So after undoing what I thought was all the screws, i had to make a trip to the local hardware store for a security screw driver. then undid them. i could still not get the casing off. it was stuck. So turning to the internet cause we know all the answers are on the internet. That’s where I found that Sony had been very crafty.

I discovered the final screw was actually under a warranty sticker that once peeled off read void. so in fact I had lost the warranty of a 6 month old PS3. Dam.

Finally after stripping the casing, cutting my finger and bleeding on one of the boards, I finally got to the disk drive and found the DS game resting inside.

So trying to explain to a 5-year-old the downfall of mixing games and console, he said  “We still have the PS2, so it didn’t matter”.

Suppose he was right in his own logical way. Either way he only understood, they both played games.

So that’s the logic of a 5-year-old boy. And his dad got to fiddle with the inside of the PS3.
