Just rambling through the forest of life.

sports day

Yesterday I had the joy, along with many parents to watch the sports day at our sons school. It lasted an hour but was fun as we cheered all the kids on. From what I remember and dread of our sports day back in the olde days, was intense competition, not really fun for those who hated running, and of course the pride of the winning school houses at the end of the day.

However at our sons sport day it was different, it was fun, the teachers never kept score and above all everyone got to have a go and in the end they were all winners.

The teachers, showed that sports can be enjoyed and not focused on being too competitive, at the end of the day team sports are what they say on the tin – team sports.

Thank you school and teachers for a great time.
