Just rambling through the forest of life.

I am ready for freedom, why are you hiding it from me?

trapped so long inside this cell, please let me go.

I am ready for freedom, all the joy and the pain.

tormented by the noise of the day and the demons of the night.

Yet I stand true. you broke my body, broke my mind, but didn’t break my spirit.

I am ready for freedom, all I want is you to acknowledge I am here.

Living so long on loved memories of happy days gone past.

Only left with half the person you first encountered.

I am ready for freedom, open the door, throw away the key.

Let me out into the world for all to see,

that I am ready for freedom, just let me be!
